To promote understanding of the Code of Practice for Employment Agencies (CoP) and relevant legislation among operators and staff of the industry, the Labour Department will organise a seminar in December which you are cordially invited to attend.

Themes of the seminar include obligations of employment agencies (EAs) under the Employment Ordinance (EO), Employment Agency Regulations and CoP, rights and obligations of foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) and their employers under the EO and Standard Employment Contract, provisions under the Immigration Ordinance relating to FDHs, and points to note for the EAs under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance. Details of the seminar are as follows:

If EA operators and staffs would like to attend the seminar, please complete and send back the reply slip by fax at 2115 3756 on or before 27 November 2020 (Friday) for reservation. Please note that each EA can reserve up to 2 seats which will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. We will notify participants the results of seat allocation by fax. Besides, in view of the latest COVID-19 epidemic, infection control measures will be adopted at the venue of the seminar, please take note of the enclosed "Note to Seminar Participants".
